Abstract
In the years when Bayesian statistical theory had not yet gained widespread acceptance and there was much talk and speculation about it, a scholar of the physicist lineage named R. T. Cox proved Bayesian probability theory as a matter of principle. Years later, another scientist made it more accessible by further explaining and expanding Cox's work.
I believe that Persian-speaking colleagues and students will benefit from these efforts, because they will be assured that Bayesian statistical theory is based on a solid mathematical foundation. With this belief, the translation of these valuable articles is presented to the readers of statistical thought. May they benefit from their results by reflecting and pondering these works in their scientific affairs.
