Andisheh-ye Amari is a journal published semiannually by the Statistical Society of Iran. The main objective of publishing this journal is to make an effort to establish communication among all statisticians and those interested in statistics, and to promote the level of statistical knowledge and culture in the country.
To achieve this goal, contributions and intellectual collaboration from all students and faculty members are warmly welcomed, and all colleagues are expected to assist us in the regular publication of the journal by submitting articles mainly in one of the following areas:
• Historical, including the presentation of distant and recent backgrounds and the roots of the emergence of statistics and probability in general, and their related branches in particular.
• Philosophical, especially with an emphasis on specific perspectives on statistics and probability.
• Educational, introducing new developments in statistics and probability, new teaching methods, critiques of curricula and educational programs—particularly at the university level—and book reviews.
• Applied, presenting major projects currently being implemented in statistical institutions with an emphasis on their theoretical foundations, as well as scientific critiques of such projects and statistical programs.Andisheh-ye Amari is indexed in the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) and the Scientific Information Database (SID).
