Abstract
Today, factor analysis has grown and developed a lot, and one of its applications is the analysis of attributes that cannot be measured directly. When the response variable has a Bernoulli distribution, the use of factor analysis methods for continuous quantities has invalid and misleading results. In this article, factor analysis for the Bernoulli response variable is developed based on the logit model, and then its application to real data from a research project on Iranian high school mathematics textbooks is presented.
