Abstract
This paper presents a method for determining the optimal sample size based on the asymmetric loss function of the Linx-Krandar Bayesian method for normal, exponential, and Poisson distributions. The optimal sample size is calculated using a numerical method. In the numerical method, we first obtain the mean posterior risk and add it to the Lindley linear cost function to obtain the average total cost. Then, we plot the sample size versus the average total cost and finally, we obtain the optimal sample size that minimizes the cost.
