Abstract
In this paper, by proposing a profit function and obtaining a Bayesian estimate, we obtain the desired sample size based on this profit function. This profit function is specially designed to obtain a Bayesian estimate when the posterior distribution is gamma. Using this profit function, we find the desired sample size for normal distributions with a known mean, exponential, Pareto, and partial such that the sampling cost is minimized. In this process, we use the Lindley cost function to minimize the cost. Here, due to the difficulty of calculations, the sample size cannot be obtained analytically, so we obtain the desired Poisson sample size with the help of numerical methods.
