Abstract
In this paper, some properties of the X-log family and a member of this family, the logistic-normal distribution, are studied in detail. The mean deviations, hazard function, and mode for the logistic-normal distribution are obtained. Also, in this paper, the maximum likelihood method is used to estimate the parameters and a dataset is used to demonstrate the applications of the logistic-normal distribution.
