Abstract
The Kamaraswamy distribution is a two-parameter distribution on the interval (0,1) that is very similar to the beta distribution. It is often a good model for random variables that vary between two finite bounds, an upper bound and a lower bound, such as the proportion of people in a population who consume a particular product in a given time interval. In this article, we introduce the family of G-Kamaraswamy distributions and study the behavior of reliability functions such as hazard rate, inverse hazard rate, mean remaining life, and past life functions in them. We also examine random sequences in the G-Kamaraswamy distribution family. Finally, we analyze the fit of the Kamaraswamy distribution to real data in the form of an applied example.
