Abstract
One of the challenges facing decision makers in the fields of insurance and finance is choosing an appropriate criterion for making a decision. Mathematical expectation, expected utility, and distorted mathematical expectation are three common criteria in this field. In this article, we study these three criteria and, by providing examples, examine and compare decisions made based on each criterion.
