Abstract
The sequential estimation method is used when the sample size used is not a fixed value or the problem cannot be solved by the fixed sample size method. The sequential estimation of the mean of an exponential distribution (one-parameter and two-parameter) is one of the important problems whose practical importance has attracted the attention of many authors. Most of the research has been conducted on the exponential distribution (one or two parameters). In this paper, the two-stage sampling method for estimating the linear combination of location and scale parameters in the two-parameter exponential distribution (negative exponential) which was first proposed by Zacks and Mukhopadhyay in 2007 is investigated. Finally, simulations are given to show the correctness of what has been proven theoretically.
