Abstract
One of the most common causes of corneal transplantation in Iran is keratoconus. Keratoconus is a non-inflammatory phenomenon that usually affects the cornea of both eyes. Since a proportion of people who undergo corneal transplantation may not reject the transplanted organ and are considered immune or healed. In this case, the healed model is used to consider this proportion. Given that the graft rejection survival times of the two eyes are correlated, the joint function was used to consider the dependence between the graft rejection times. The aim of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the rejection of the symmetric graft using the healed model with the help of the joint function. The Bayesian method was used to estimate the parameters based on the Markov chain Monte Carlo algorithm and with the help of Open Bugs software.
